Andrex Extra Soft Blog Roll

It's all a load of bollocks, quite frankly

About me, for what it’s worth

Greetings and jolly salutations to you all. Please allow myself to introduce… myself. My name is Paul and I’m from Cornwall – one of the most beautiful places in the UK, if not the world. I’m an incredibly sarcastic, cynical, full-time grump. I’m married to my long-suffering wife Jayne and am father to my amazing son Leo who is a nutjob. He also is a shite car enthusiast, chip off the old block. No, really, his favourite words are Fiat, Rover, Peugeot and Austin.

I like most things Italian. I love the cars, cuisine, architecture and culture of Italy. We got married in Sorrento, so that should tell you something. I wanted to get married atop the Lingotto plant in Turin but SWMBO vetoed that. I like buzzy, rattly Italian and buzzy, rattly French cars. I currently drive an MG ZR Turbo Diseasel and a Fiat Punto 1.2 Active. My main passion in life is music. I “play” the bass guitar and drums very badly. My musical taste extends from pop to metal to punk to classical to rock to trance and even a bit of opera. At the moment I seem to listen to ELO and Jeff Lynne more than anything else but that generally changes.

My favourite films include The Italian Job (original), Get Carter (again, the original), A Clockwork Orange, Ghostbusters and the Python films. As for television I like Top Gear (naturally and probably fairly obvious) and my main current obession is Criminal Minds. I love the old stuff, too, such as The Sweeney, The Professionals, Minder et al.

The aim of this blog? Basically, it’s an outlet for me. If no one reads it I’m not really bothered. If someone does, that’s a bonus and I thankyou for taking the time to do so. I love writing, whether it’s about my two passions of music and cars, or whether something royally pisses me off that I feel the need to rant about it. My personal mission? To rid the world of Bono through the means of ranting, and to destroy the Toyota Prius in whatever fashion I can. Thankyou if you have read it.

  1. Wannabe Jeremy Clarkson, himself a wannabe ‘countryside toff’ (in reality the son of a semi-literate, chancer sales rep). Sad!

    • Thankyou good person for your most valuable comment on my blog. I am so thrilled to receive such a good standard of constructive criticism. Now I have your opinion on things, I can sleep easy now and my life is indeed complete.

      Love and kisses.
      Mr Wannabe Clarkson.
